Certificate of Compliance

Global Registration Services, Inc. offers a Certificate of Compliance that lets your customers know you’re in compliance! It represents that all the required state licenses for the products they buy from you have been verified by a GRS Compliance Specialist.

Requirements

To get a Certificate of Compliance you must first be subscribed to one of our 3 Monitored Services: GlobalTrak, License Management or Guaranteed Compliance. Although these services provide different levels of involvement between you and GRS, each requires that your licenses be uploaded into our database. When you add a URN to the system and choose one of these services, the products you select that are made by that URN factory will determine which state licenses you need. Then, as you upload those required licenses, a GRS Compliance Specialist reviews and approves your licenses for accuracy and validity. You are only allowed to order a Certificate of Compliance when all the licenses for any URN are in a Certified status.

Ordering

To order a Certificate of Compliance, login and select the URN from your URN table. On that URN’s detail page there is a Certificate of Compliance section that will show one of the following 3 displays based on the URN status:

  • ‘Unavailable’ – this means that the URN licenses are not in Certified status due to missing or expired licenses.
  • ‘Order Now!’ – all the licenses for the URN are in Certified status and the Certificate can be ordered.
  • ‘View/Download’ – the Certificate has been issued and uploaded into the URN table for you to view and/or download at your convenience.

When your URN is Certified you may click the ‘Order Now!’ button and your request will be sent to GRS. Once your invoice is paid (if applicable) a GRS Compliance Specialist will generate your Certificate and upload it into your URN Detail page.

The View/Download button will then display. Click it to view and/or download your Certificate of Compliance. The expiration date of the Certificate will also be displayed.

Certificate Expiration

Yes, the certificate does expire. The expiration date of the certificate is determined by the date of the next license expiration for that URN. So when the URN shows Non-Compliant in our system, the Certificate expires at the same time.

Cost

The cost for a certificate is based on which Monitored Service the URN is subscribed:

  • Guaranteed Compliance – Free
  • License Management - $10.00 each
  • GlobalTrak - $25.00 each

There are no limits on the number of Certificates you can order.
